The new Motril Bus station has finally opened its doors & platforms, and is fully functioning!

The Mayor, Flor Almón, cut the inaugural ribbon; together with the Chairman of the Alsa bus company, which is the company that will be running the depot.

It’s taken 16 years since the first mumbled pledges from fleeting politicians for the bus station, which has cost 1.7m euros, to become a functioning reality.

It is calculated that around one million passengers will pass through the bus station each year, using one of the 24 bus routes laid on by the Alsa, Grupo Fajardo or Autocares Delgado bus companies.
