Around 09.30h, on Saturday the 10th a woman accidentally left the road and plummeted down a barranco, not far from the cement factory in Mólvizar.

The 37-year-old driver had been using the Camino Barrio Minchal Alto when for reasons unknown she lost control of the vehicle and ended up 20 metres below.

The emergency number 112 received several calls from motorists, so a Motril-based, Guardia Civil, Traffic unit was dispatched together with the fire service and an ambulance unit.

The woman was found alive and treated on the spot before being transferred to the Motril Santa Ana Hospital where her condition is not said to be serious.
