A man, who had a court order that forbade him from approaching within 150 metres of his wife, was found on the roof of her home in Alhama de Granada.

The 58-year-old man was spotted by a neighbour, loitering, on the said roof, and reported him to the Guardia Civil. A patrol car was sent but the policeman saw no sign of the suspect. When they called at her front door, there was no answer.

They didn’t want to call off the patrol mission without carrying out a more thorough inspection, which was when the suspect suddenly broke cover, jumped from the roof and tried to flee the scene.

He was intercepted and arrested. but not after a brief struggle. The suspect has a criminal record dealing with domestic violence.
