The Policía Local received an alert at 20.55h on Thursday the 4th, who in turn alerted the Protección Civil – the latter is manned by volunteers who provide lifeguard and other beach services during the summer months.
Although the volunteers requested the collaboration of a small boat that was sailing nearby, in the end it was not necessary as the two men, aged 28 and 35, managed to climb out onto the rocks between these two beaches.
The Policía Local picked them up from there – the point of La Torrecilla – and transferred them to the local medical centre at 21.30h. They were in good shape and needed no medical assistance.
