There is nothing quite so spectacular as freestyle motorbike jumping – how they manage to keep hold of the bike in the air is a mystery!

Anyway, the venue is the Almuñécar municipal stadium, Francisco Bonet, and the time is 22.30h on Saturday the 6th of August.

Those riders participating are world FMX champion Dani Torres and Mike Melero, who was recently proclaimed European Champion. Also flying through the air is Spanish sub-champion, Abraham Parra and many others – all lunatics, evidently.

The football stadium has had two take-off ramps and two landing ones installed, 25 metres apart. Hopefully, there will be no need for mops and buckets…

Apart from these human fleas on two wheels, there will also be plenty of music and scantily clad women extolling with their very presence motor sports in general… how could every mechanic’s workshop calendar be wrong, otherwise?
