A man is facing 20 years for allegedly murdering his wife: according to the police, he stabbed her 49 times and gauged both of her eyes out.

The attack, which took place in Almería in 2014, occurred during an argument over and incident of supposed infidelity on her part.

The 34-year-old accused was arrested in Valencia, having fled Almería to avoid arrest.
