The Policia Nacional in Motril are investigating the discovery of the body of an elderly man, found on a piece of wasteland in the Vadillo trading estate, on Thursday the 5th.
According to the police report, the dead man had no ID on him and had probably died at least two weeks ago, given the advanced state of decomposition.
However, the police believe that the body could belong to a man in his 70’s that often used a shack on a piece of land near the new bus station.
The body was discovered after a man reported to the police that he had not seen the elderly gentleman for a while, which was strange as he regularly passed the concerned resident’s workplace, accompanied by several dogs.
The deceased was taken for an autopsy to established if the cause of death was from natural causes, whilst the police attempt to establish his identity and inform relatives.
