The Eurovision Song Contest, which staggers on past its own use-by date, many consider, has managed to unite Spain in support of the Basques after the Swedish hosts for this year banned the Basque Flag, alongside the ISIS/AL one.

The Basque flag; the Ikurriña, represents the Basque nation and is considered a constitutional flag by the Spanish Constitution, yet the Swedes, bent upon being politically correct and avoiding all controversy like the plague, hasve managed to achieve the complete opposite.

So irate is the Spanish Government that they have threatened to withdraw from this European Song Contest if the Swedes do not rectify and apologise for this blunder.

The Swedish organizers for this year’s event obviously thought that the Basque flag was linked to the separatist Basque terrorist movement, ETA, which is why they put a ban on it alongside the flag of the Islamists Caliphate flag; which is tantamount to confusing the Republic of Eire’s flag for some sort of emblem for the IRA terrorist group.

Editorial comment: If there was ever a sign that political correctness has become a manifestation of idiocy, then this is it.
