Lobres Work Recommences

SAL Lobres Work OnLWork has recommenced in Lobres, with two councillors standing around with an air of poised authority to prove it, as can be seen in the attached press photo. No idea who the third person is.

The UEL 5, as it is officially known, has been on hold for some time owing  to a dispute between the Town Hall and the Andalusian Water Board; that’s ‘water board’ as in administrative body and not a local version of a ‘Guantánamo pastime.’

It seems that a modification to the project has sorted things out so that workmen are now frolicking in the hitherto abandoned builders’ trenches. The locals are greatly chuffed because the incomplete chaos had been an eyesore as well as an obstacle so close to the school.

If everything goes to plan, the village should have all the streets in that area tarmacked. The UEL 5 also includes a new park, by the way.
