There was a collision between two vehicles near the fountain at the top of Almuñécar; an area known as the Carrera de la Concepción.

The accident happened a little after nine in the morning on Sunday the 10th and resulted in one of the cars ending up on its side.

Neither driver required medical assistance and neither gave a positive reading when breathalyzed.

Nobody’s sure what happened but some eyewitnesses saw one car accelerate into the back of the other, resulting in it tipping over. It is possible that the driver mistook the accelerator for the brake.

On the other hand, with the scarcity of free parking around Almuñécar, it might catch on as the definitive parking arrangement…
