La Herradura Back to Normal

LHR Acera Pilar work OnLTraffic along the Acera de Pilar in La Herradura has been restored with the completion of the underground rain-drainage system.

These roadworks in the village completely altered how locals and visitors used the main access from the N-340, with Avenida Prieto Moreno being used for 2-way traffic.

Taking advantage of the village’s exit road being closed, municipal workers set about installing new pedestrian ramps. They also installed new street lighting.

Now residents of Bahía Jardín and Casa Fuerte won’t have to set out on a 3-day camel trip to avoid the old steps on the bridge over the Rambla del Espinar in order to reach the upper part of the Acera del Pilar.
