A supermarket worker handed over 68,000 euros in a backpack after finding it in a shopping trolley.
The man, employed in a supermarket in Aviles (Asturias) found the said backpack, which besides containing the ID of its owner also contained this sizable amount of cash. He immediately handed it over to the security department of the establishment.
This happened at 11.30h on Tuesday the 8th in the supermarket, Parque Astur’s underground parking area.
Anyway, the backpack complete with the cash was handed over to the Guardia Civil, who checked the CCTV footage and clearly saw the owner of the backpack enter into the supermarket carrying it and leave there with the shopping trolley and backpack.
There were also bank slips in the backpack confirming that the money had come from the owner’s account, so the Guardia Civil handed it back to him.
