A Marbella postman is facing four years in prison, if found guilty, after he was caught in the act of burning several thousands letters that he hadn’t delivered.
He had hidden over three thousand letters in his garage; the fruit of six months of ‘non-delivery.’
Allegedly, the accused, on the 24th of January, decided to destroy the accumulating letters and parcels by burning them all.
It was at 18.30h on that day that he was caught in the act by the police, who managed to recover 3,583 letters. The police were unable to quantify how many had already been incinerated.
