Road-maintenance crews have been cutting back the vegetation along the N-340 where it passes through Almuñécar.
Workers have been out with strimmers on the stretch of road that runs parallel with the Friday-market square; i.e. Barrio de la Paloma.
The area has a propensity to flood, so with the approaching late-summer rains – hopefully – all vegetation that might obstruct the drains is being eliminated.
