One of the most emblematic castles on the Costa Tropical is set to reopen to the general public on Monday the 3rd of August.
Salobreña Castle has sported a construction crane for months now, with its gates firmly closed to visitors; very necessary stabilizing work was being carried out, which in turn uncovered forgotten Arab-era baths.
Although the castle has long had an entrance fee, for the time being at least – to celebrate the end of the restoration work – entrance will be free.
There’s still about two months’ of work to be carried out, but visitors will allowed in, under supervision so that nobody falls down a hole. The Arab baths will be covered over during this time.
As soon as all work concludes, visitors will be able to visits all parts of the castle’s interior.
