The Asociación Española Contra el Cáncer (AECC) in Motril are holding the 5th annual Ciclobithon event this weekend.
Basically the AECC has teamed up with Chiringuito Sumo and Bull Gym to both raise funds for the cause, as well as encourage a healthier lifestyle for the good folk of Motril… and the bad folk as well.
Borja Peña from Chiringuito SUMO explained that in previous years they had raised funds for Fibromyalgia, for animal protection organizations and young people with rare diseases, but that this year it was their pleasure to work with the AECC.
So, what the hell is it and where will it be held, you ask. Well, it will be held Sunday at 14.00h on Playa Poniente, next to the said chiringuito and will start of with a bloody great paella at 5-euros a plate & a drink.
Those that survive the paella can participate in various sporting activities up until 21.00h. One of these activities will be dancing of the Zumba rhythms, which is basically shaking your bones until your eyes pop out… or until the onlookers eyes pop out – whichever comes first.
There will also be ‘spinning and G.A.P., which is designed to stimulate your buttocks – I seem to remember that my old Head Master used to call that Six of the Best… but times change. Nah! It also is great for your abdominal muscles and legs.
Oh, and there will also be a demonstration of electro-fitness
Anyway, plenty of fitness and good cause lined up for this weekend in Motril, so get your gluteus maximus down to Playa Poniente this Sunday!
