A leading Spanish environment-focused magazine, Quercus, has featured the seabed off La Herradura in its June edition.

The the relevant article in the magazine – eight pages long – looks at the impact of fishing equipment (nets, etc) on the Coral Candelabro (Dendrophyllia ramea), which is an emblematic species of coral that grows on the rocky seabed off the Punta de la Mona at between 13 and 100 metres depth.

The article looks at ‘verify the risks’ of professional and sport fishing, as well as highlighting these species of coral.
