Almuñécar’s Puerta del Mar beach has new lighting, which lights up the beach and surf, as well as the facades of the beach-front buildings.

The lighting is on two levels: one illuminates Los Bajos del Paseo del Altillo; i.e., the paseo night bars. To achieve this, two 400w spot lights have been fitted to each lamppost.

The other line runs from the Río Verde as far as the roundabout next to Cafe Bar Ayer. This has three spotlights on each post; again, 400w each.

This special lighting will be in action during the summer and on special occasions; i.e. bank holidays, etc.
