What is it about Pizzeria Realengo on Paseo Andrés Segovia in La Herradura? For one thing it’s one of my favourite places to eat… sensible prices, really great food, family run and family friendly.

Add to that their location with fantastic views to the beach and you’ve got a pretty winning recipe.

The pizzas are thin and crispy (just how I like them), the meat dishes are great (especially the steaks, which you won’t hear often about a pizzeria!) and the service is spot on.

I mentioned family run; well the husband and wife team of Pep and Maria José have been doing this a long time now and Realengo has been going since
1995 – yes, that’s 20 years.

If you haven’t tried Realengo yet, you not only need your head tested, you need to get your hungry bottom down there and give it a go!

To sum up; excellent venue, great views, friendly family run atmosphere, good value and top food… not much more a diner could ask for!
