San Sebastian Street Lights

ALM San Sebastian Lights OnLCalle Ingenio Real and Calle Azúcar in Almuñécar’s San Sebastian area received a smattering of new street lights and road signs.

There’s been a lot of banging around and industrious street work in this barrio (quarter) of Almuñécar in recent months and these latest jobs are the finishing touches to a generalized facelift.

A local building company won the contract to install the new street lights, whose 88w, low-consumption bulbs have replaced the old 125w bulbs, yet provide the equivalent light output of 250w. Hell, you could get yourself a good tan standing under them!

In the meantime traditional lampposts on the narrow pavements along Calle Trapiche are being replaced by street lights bolted to walls, thus removing pedestrian obstacles.

Mothers with prams can now drag race them along the newly uncluttered pavements.
