The damaged breakwater in front of Restaurante Reina Sofia, on the paseo of the same name, has heavy machinery working on it.

The construction company, Tragsa, has been given the task of trucking in and placing large boulders in the damaged structure.

The work should last a couple of days; i.e., be completed by the weekend.

A westerly gale a couple of months ago, caused damaged all along the Costa Tropical, damaging the Almuñécar breakwater and collapsing part of the Salobreña beachfront promenade.
