Brilliant move by the boys in Almuñécar’s Restaurante Árbol Blanco – they’ve opened up Árbol Blanco Playa in Velilla.

Nacho didn’t have a lot of time to explain things – he was busy fending off a heart attack, getting things prepared during their first day.

But he didn’t need to – just taking a look around, is like reading the Árbol Blanco Playa CV: stunning views out across the Velilla waters, spacious inside seating bathed in natural light, outside tables in abundance… and that’s not all.

Árbol Blanco Playa has a lawn garden area with a kiddies’ play park, complete with Wendy house and slide – no bored kids tied to chairs.

There’s a chill-out area with a sofa… and we still haven’t spoken about the food: think Árbol Blanco quality extended over a chiringuito-like menu.

Did I mention parking? No, and there is; plenty!

I asked Nacho what day of the week they closed and he said, “Ration of Calamares for table 41, three beers for table 18 and somebody get three menus to table 31!” to nobody and everybody, accept me.

It wasn’t a good day for a heart-to-heart with Nacho, so we’ll give you more details next month.
