This achievement is thanks to close cooperation between the Club Internacional de Salobreña and the Environmental Department of the Town Hall… and a pile of poles.

But whilst others might have financed and organized the project, the people who actually built it “with a bundle of wooden poles,” was a group young people, all under 30 and all belonging to an employment scheme.

They’ve decided to name their creation, Un Puñao de Palos (A handful of sticks). The wood, by the way, was donated by the International Club, who had raised the necessary funds at their monthly Eco-Rastro.

Anyway, the ‘handful of sticks’ comprises of eight wooden apparatuses and three benches and they are situated on Avenida de Andalucía, next to the existing Parque Biosaludable, so that they compliment each other.
