Work on New Motril Bus Station Begins

MOT new bus station OnLIt seems that the new Motril bus station is actually going to happen, according to the outgoing IU MP, Manuel Morales from the Junta.

Briefly, the IU and PSOE regional coalition government has split and new regional elections are being held at the end of March – two months before the municipal ones.

Consequently, on the very last day of his being in office as Minister for Public Works and Housing, he announced in Motril that he didn’t want leave his post without making sure that Motril gets its new bus station.

He said that this very week work would commence with a budget of 1.5m euros with an execution period of nine months; in other words, it should be finished by October this year.

The site of the new bus station is in the south-east if the town (Puntalón road) and will have twelve platforms on its 6,000 sq/m plot, as well as space for private business premises.
