At the very end of November, a launch loaded with illegal drugs capsized off the coast of Cádiz, resulting two of its crew members drowning. The police arrested the three survivors.

When the word got round that packages of drugs were being washed up on several beaches, many locals found an imperative urge to walk their (or anybody’s) dogs along the beaches…

All told, 33 busquimanos (beach combers specialized in finding washed up drugs) were found to have ‘booty’ on them and were subsequently arrested.
