You really shouldn’t believe everything your mum says… well, that’s at least true of Diana Martinez, a 22-year-old Columbian girl, from the town of Guasimal.

The young lady turned up at hospital in a bit of a flap with a complicated potato issue and explained to a nurse that her mother had advised her to insert the potato into her vagina as a contraceptive. However, after some time, the potato, obviously reacting to the warm moist conditions, started to germinate, or seed.

The nurse, after taking a quick look, was able to remove the seeding potato and Ms. Martinez was treated to prevent any infection. Ms. Martinez returned home, a lot more comfortable and just a little bit wiser.

Just another example of how superior women are compared to men… we just walk around with a chip on our shoulder.
