The ever-more popular waterfalls and cascades of the Junta de los Rios above Otívar was the scene of another excursionist rescue after a fall.
A 44-year-old man and a 28-year-old woman were fished out of the canyon after the man suffered a sprained ankle.
Companions of the couple phoned 112, which alerted the Guardia Civil, mountain-rescue team, Seriem, at 15.00h on the 21st, to request assistance.
The couple had been practicing barranquismo; i.e., canyon descent using wetsuits and rappel gear.
