Motril Port Outstrips Competitors

MOT port collision OnLThis summer, Motril Port has moved more passenger traffic to and from North African Melilla than Almería and Málaga combined.

Whilst ferry traffic from Andalusian ports has increased 12.4% over last year on average, Motril’s traffic has increased by 23.5% – almost double the regional average.

How many passengers are we talking about? Well, up to the 31st of August (since then the figure has increased even more) 207,298 passengers and 47,425 vehicles passed through Motril Port on their way to Melilla.

Of course, Motril/Melilla is the shortest route; both Málaga and Almería require longer voyages and hence, probably, are more expensive.
