Privatizing Motril Padel Courts

MOT Padel courts OnLThe IU councillor in the Motril Town Council, Daniela Paqué, has criticised the governing party’s move to privatize the municipal padel courts.

The Mayor’s party claims that the proliferation of private padel courts around Motril is making the running of public ones unsustainable.

Sra. Paqué doesn’t see it that way and interprets the reason given by the PP as “vague” and “lacking logic,” seeing as the facilities – financed with public money – weren’t brought into being to be competitive, but to fulfill a social demand at an affordable price for those Motrileños that wished to use them.

The IU councillor consoled herself with the thought that with the next elections the PP would be out of power, in her estimation.
“Motril cannot allow itself another eight years of waste, incapacity and laziness,” she said.
