You’ll know this street, even if you don’t know its name: Calle Marquesa de Esquilache.

It’s the first major street on the right, coming up from the Al Campo roundabout, heading for the hospital. It runs from this junction, curving down and ending at the small roundabout junction next to the old Multicine.

Having explained that, the top part only is going to be closed from the 12th until the 14th of this month for tarmacking. You can still get to the private health clinic, no problem, just off the Multicine roundabout.

You might think that it is a crazy time to perform roadworks but unlike Salobreña and Almuñécar, Motril’s population actually goes down in summer because Los Motrileños head off to Torrenueva or Playa Granada/Poniente for the beach.
