The chief opposition party in Molvízar has accused the Mayor of “consenting illegal building structures,” to go ahead, even though they lack planning permission; i.e. a sort of Nelsonian blind eye.

According to the PSOE, the conservative Mayor, Fermín García, has full knowledge of what is going on, yet fails to act against it.

The PSOE Spokesman, Antonio Salas, refers to two illegal constructions and an industrial facility, which is operating without any of the necessary permits.

He also mentioned a cortijo that belongs to the father of one of the PP councillors in the village Town Council. The cortijo, he claims, is “full of irregularities” and the building does not correspond, whatsoever, to the building licence obtained.

The PSOE brought the situation to the Mayor’s attention at a Council Meeting, whilst the work was still ongoing, but apparently, even though the cortijo is virtually finished, the Mayor has allowed it to be almost completed, Councillor Salas claims.

The fact is that Molvízar has a long history of illegal coritijos etc and the Town Hall is constantly being denounced by the Guardia Civil over it.
