Four women, all occupants of the same car and all 18-years old, were injured in a road accident at the western, entrance junction into Motril from the N-340.

A total of three cars and a lorry carrying timber were involved in the accident that occurred at the stop sign of the said junction at 11:35h, yesterday, Tuesday the 15th.

One of the vehicle drivers – the driver of the car or the lorry – misjudged the speed of the oncoming vehicle when they turned onto the road, which enters Motril past Al Campo.

The other cars involved were hit in a knock-on affect but none of their occupants were injured.

The women were taken to the Hospital Santa Ana.
