Divers from all over Andalucia have participated in a dive to clean up the seabed just off the beach. And they pulled up some surprising things.
The underwater operation, which was organized jointly by the Salobreña Town Hall and the Club de Buceo Glup Glub, discovered a scooter and a shopping trolley amongst other artifacts.
This initiative follows similar ones carried out in La Herradura’s Marina del Este Beach, for example.
The seabed off La Caleta and all the way up to the Peñón has been declared a Lugar de Importancia Comunitaria (LIC), because of its ecological value.
