Salobreña will hold its sixth annual cross-country race this Sunday, the 4th of May. The race, which has 1,200 competitors, starts at 10.00h from the Estadio de Atletismo.
The Salobreña race is the first of three such races as part of the Gran Premio de Fondo Diputación – Cruzcampo, which is held on the Costa Tropical.
The next competition will be held in Almuñécar on the 28th of September – had it been one day later, the Cruzcampo race would have been held on San Miguel… just saying!
Finally, on the 19th of October the Motril Media Maratón de Motril will complete the season of races.
Getting back to Salobreña, competitors will cover ten kilometres through the centre of Salobreña down to the beach road and along: Avenida de Motril, Avenida Federico García Lorca and Avenida Mediterráneo all the way down to the beach. They will then cover the whole of the beach road and Avenida de Andalucía in both directions before heading back to the sports stadium via Avenida del Mediterráneo.
Good luck on that one…
