Work began on the 8th with a JCB starting on the old concrete launching ramp that was traditionally used for small fishing boats of the rowing kind.
The last winter gales had just about finished of the ramp so something needed to be done.
The surface of the tiny square (Plaza del Lavadero) will receive the same angular cobblestones as the road that leads down to it.
The Concillor for Public Works estimates that it will take three months – in time for the Virgen del Carmen procession
