The five La Herradura ladies, all running for their own charities have today successfully completed the Barcelona Marathon, with times ranging from 4.11 to 5.28. A huge achievement by any standard.
With encouragement and support from family and friends, these ladies have managed to fulfill what seemed a distant dream when they agreed to ‘give it a go.’ With varying standards of fitness at the start of their quest, they managed, through sheer courage and dedication, to reach ‘marathon level’ over months of grueling runs, stretches and diet regulation.
Remember, there are a number of charities represented here, all of them very close to the hearts of these brave girls, so if you agree with us, and that this massive achievement deserves some recognition, you can still make a donation HERE
In the meantime, we at the Gazette, the residents of La Herradura and the entire Costa Tropical take our hats off to Laura Smith, Michelle Leach, Rachel Langley, Sally Parkinson and Rose Lock… the girls that said they would, and by God, they bloody well did. Enhorabuena Ladies!!!
