During October and November, all manner of wonderful talent appears to be gracing the halls of Almuñécar’s own Casa de la Cultura and the reality is that the artists coming here seem to be younger and more gifted than ever.

After ten year old violinist María Dueñas wowed us, the 4th of November sees the group Minha Lua with singers and musicians Vicky Cruz and Gabriel Pancorbo, accompanied by César Jiménez on cello, presenting their programme Fado y Otras Emotions.

Blending traditional and modern techniques and sounds, the trio plans to evoke in their audience all the melancholic emotions that characterise this very special genre of music, evoking all the passion and sorrow that the Portuguese culture has been endowed with.

11th of November sees a change of pace, with Irene Herrezuelo on the piano, performing works of Beethoven, Chopín and Schumann, so it’s back to the classics, in style!

Continuing in the vein of the classical masters, 18th of November is when the ‘Dúo Stradivari’ (Jaume Solá Viñas and Assumpta Rodríguez) are set to thrill us with their rendition on cello and piano of Paganini, Schubert, Casals, Albinoni and Brahms, amongst other greats!
