A group of 15 walkers from Almuñécar enjoyed an excursion to Nerja’s area of natural beauty, Río Chíllar. This was the first outing of the new season of programmed walks.
The group was organised and led by guides Enrique Garín and Francisco (Chico) Novo and an enjoyable day out was achieved, despite initial fears that forecast bad weather could spoil the day.
The next programmed walk will be Sunday the 6th and will be to Fuente del Hervidero at the top of Cumbre del Pico: Bocá de la Pescá, before ending up in the town of Dílar, via the Valle del río Dílar.
Starting out time will be 07.30h at the Almuñécar bus station. Plenty of up hill involved and the whole expedition is calculated to last around five hours.
