And, speaking of French, a quick snippet on the father and daughter extravaganza that appeared in the Casa de la Cultura in Almuñécar on Saturday September 7th.
French Latino entertainer Paul Gavino (who indeed spends a great deal of his time in Almuñécar) together with his daughter Michéle, and accompanied by musicians from Seville, enjoyed singing to a full house.
With songs from their last album Suerte, as well as Spanish classics such as, Malagueña Salerosa and as is to be expected, a number of songs in their native tongue, the performers revelled in the audience participation and appreciation.
I have to say, it had that cruise liner feel to it and would probably have worked better outdoors (as was originally planned) in Majuelo Park. Still, good to see so many of the locals there, particularly since they had so clearly contributed to the success of the event, by supporting the show and buying advertising within the program.
