The Motril Councillor for Culture, Elena Vallejo has announced that during September the mines/museum will have free admittance.

She also apologized, however, for the actual temporary closure of the Centro Geominero, which is owing to senseless acts of vandalism that will not affect the September agenda, however.

She pointed out that the Parque Geominero Forestal del Cerro del Toro has experienced a growth in the number of visitors; both from Motril as well as out-of-towners.
