The average price of housing has fallen by 13.3% in the last year. Furthermore, in June the number of houses sold plunged by 26.9%.
According to the Consejo General del Notariado (General Board of Public Notaries) the number of flats sold in the same month was 27.7% down.
This drop in property sales was obviously reflected in the price properties with the average price per metre for June being 1,206, which gives the said 13.3% drop.
Logically, the number of mortgages extended follows the same trend with an inter-annual drop of 36.2%. The average amount lent per property was 129,603 euros, representing a 3.4% drop.
