Details are not clear, but the alleged murderer of a young woman, reportedly hurled himself from the Peñon de Santo in Almuñécar. The 37-year-old man spent 36 hours in hospital recovering from his injuries before being taken to prison.

Oscar C.T. is said to have confessed to having taken the life of his 29-year-old, live-in partner, Ángela C.R.V. The couple had shared a flat in Zaidín before deciding to go their own ways.

It was a male friend of the victim who had contacted the police when the woman had failed to return from a meeting with her Ex on Tuesday the 10th at 14.00h – the ex couple had arranged to meet to see what was to be done with the flat. The friend had received a Whatsapp text from her phone, saying that she had left for her home town, Almadén in the province of Ciudad Real, but this had only made him more suspicious; hence his contacting the police.

The woman, whose body was found in the flat in Calle Escritor Miguel Toro in Zaidín, had been brutally murdered between 00.45h and 02.00h that Wednesday.
