High Voltage Llama

A  llama called Scooter, managed to escape from his pen in Tallahassee, Florida, USA. Then, after a 12-hour chase, the police cornered the beast and despite shouts of, “Stop, armed police,” and “Hooves behind your head and on your knees, you mother!” the animal refused to comply. So they Tasered the hairy hoodlum.

Scooter managed to keep the police at bay for so long due to his speed and athleticism, at times jumping 1.2m fences and hedges whilst being pursued. However, freedom was not to be for Scooter, who was eventually trapped and lassoed. But there was still a bit of fight in the 7-year-old yet… as Lt Tony Drzweiecki of the Leon County Police will profess, as he sustained some rather nasty bruising after Scooter lashed out and floored him.

“I’ve been doing this job for 20 years now and they said at the start that there was going to be a lot of excitement, however, nobody ever told me that I’d get spat in the face and trampled by a llama,” he explained to channel WCTV News.

It was for this reason that Drzewiecki defended the use of the Taser saying that llamas don’t respond to voice commands and after the violent struggle they were all in shock… obviously not as much shock as Scooter was in!

Just as a footnote, the Florida police also recently detained a kangaroo with the help of a tranquilizer gun… this time following a 10-hour chase! The owner of that one hasn’t even been located.
