A 34-year-old man had part of his scrotum ripped off on a barbed-wire fence – his penis didn’t have a lot to chuckle about, either.

The sorry tale took place around 05.30h in the morning of Saturday 9th February, in the town of Jodar, Jaén. The man was taken to the emergency Department where it was found that not only did he have nasty injuries to his scrotum and penis, but that a part of the scrotum was missing. The police were then dispatched to the place of the accident to look for it. Fortunately for him, it was still hanging on the 2-metre high fence.

He is currently in the Hospital Reina Sofia in Córdoba pending plastic surgery.

So, how the devil did it happen? Apparently, after a night out on the town, the man attempted to climb over a security fence around the urbanización where he lived, but ended up hanging, momentarily suspended from the fence by his nether regions until something gave way, leaving cloth and unmentionables still attached to the triumphant fence.

He then managed to drive to his parents house where and staggered in. The mother, hearing his distress, went to see what was up and had him drop his pants to inspect his injuries. Only then did he realise the extent of the damage to his ‘wedding tackle’ and took the opportunity to instantly faint, which was exactly what the situation called for, admittedly.

They rushed him to the nearest medical centre, where, when the staff had stopped running around screaming, they dispatched him to the said hospital, where they specialize in plastic reconstruction. Fortunately nobody else fainted, so he arrived safely although temporarily incomplete.
