The Guardia Civil arrested a school-bus driver for being five times over the blood-alcohol limit. He had nine school-children passengers on board at the time.
The police had flagged down the bus as part of a routine check on such transport, on the CM-110 road in the municipality of Alcolea del Pinar (Guadalajara).
The 43-year old driver was charged with two offences; one for endangering road safety and the other for doing it in a school bus with children on board. The police calculated that the driver had already covered 80 km in this state.
