A homeless man was hit by a vehicle as he walked down the side of the N-340 near Salobreña, resulting in his being seriously injured.

The accident occurred at 19.45h on kilometre point 326. The man was rushed to Santa Ana Hospital.

First indications are that the man was hit by a car as he tried to cross the road. The Guardia Civil came to this conclusion after taking a statement from the car driver
