Good news for somebody in Almuñécar the lottery office on the P-4, on la calle Mariana Pineda, sold a winning ticket worth 300,000 euros, corresponding to coupon number 15.267 of the Lotería Nacional del Jueves.

This ticket office, run by Gabriel Lirola Maturana, has been at this location for about 18 months, but has previously existed a total of 30 years in the older part of town.

But Almuñécar was not the only town where the lucky, ticket holders live because some had found their way to Santa Coloma de Gramenet (Barcelona), Losar de la Vera (Cáceres) and Valencia.

The second number drawn on Thursday was 30.163, which carried a prize of 60,000 and went to Jimena de la Frontera (Cádiz), as well as Málaga.

The Christmas draw, known as El Gordo, is just around the corner and is as a part of Christmas as mistletoe and Christmas Carols, so if you have 20 euros free, get one before the draw on the 23rd of December.
