There were around a hundred model ships on display, from many different eras at the Centro Cívico in La Herradura.
The exhibition was organized by the Liga Naval Andaluza, with the collaboration of the Town Hall and its La Herradura branch, as part of the 450th anniversary of the sinking of the Spanish fleet in the bay.
Over 2,000 people visited the display, according to the First Councillor for La Herradura, José Ruiz Joya, who considers it to have been one of the most visited displays in the Centro Cívico.
The Chairman of the Liga Naval, Rafael Díaz was at hand to answer any questions on the ships from the pupils of CEIP Las Gaviotas, as well as the village’s high school – and to stop the blighters sinking any, naturally.
