An Iberia employee was murdered at a road junction just outside Terminal 4 of Madrid’s Aeropuerto de Barajas, and her Porsche Cayenne stolen.
The incident occurred at 07.00h when her assailants driving a Seat Leon slammed into the back of her car. She had thought that it was a road accident, so she got out to exchange insurance details. But instead of receiving apologies, she was beaten to the floor and then run over. The assailants then drove off taking both cars with them.
Despite her injuries, she was able to cry for help and nearby taxi drivers ran over to help her, but by the time that they reached her she was already unconscious after going into a cardiac arrest. Despite repeated attempts to start her heart again by the emergency services, she was later pronounced dead.
The victim had worked for the last 20 years with Iberia airways.
