Photographic Exhibition in Salobreña

A photography exhibition is going to take place between the 10th-26th of August at the Restaurante-mirador Listraviesa, Salobreña, which is more or less opposite the entrance to the Paseo de las Flores, under the castle.

Laura Inez Rodriguez Pöhnlein started taking photographs as a child, getting her first camera, a 35mm one from her grandfather when she was twelve – before that, her mother let her use hers.

Whilst studying Political Sciences & Law at Granada University, she realised that photography was something that really motivated her after completing two private courses at an academy, so she switched degrees. She bought her first SLR in 2010 and considers it the best investment that she has ever made.

She spent a year in Australia studying at a university there and took part in a two photographic exhibitions; one in Melbourne and the other in Sydney. Feeling home sick and after completing a photographic project called, The Rocks, she returned home, to Salobreña, which is where she is from, and as her work project deals with ‘belonging,’ what better place could she exhibit it?
